Elmwood Park has a frequency they refer to as "Police Band 2" I know that when the officers HT goes into emergency mode, it starts sending out the distress signal. I've heard the alert when HQD has their mike keyed up, but I'm unable to find the frequency. Best I can tell, this channel isn't officially licensed to them. Since the portable radios send out the distress mode, I can assume that it's a UHF frequency, probably somewhere near 472.300

Anyone have any clues on this one?

Nope, that's not it.
453.1125 is "F3" for the FD. I monitor it all the time, without PL, and that's not it. It has to be a repeater since if it's an "emergency" channel for hand held units, the chances of HQD hearing it are very slim.

The seach goes on.
