Question for anyone living in West Virginia

Hi,

One of my customers lives in Parkersburg, West Virginia in Wood County. He was told by a Radio Shack employee that the city police are using digital encryption. Can anyone confirm that? I would be most appreciative.

This is correct. The Parkersburg PD channel of 155.490 is almost always scrambled. However, there is still plenty of other analog police and fire systems to monitor. But Parkersburg PD is not monitorable.
