I see when Newton County does it Monday test page, like what we talked about before, but my question is, the Back up Repeater for EMA/EMS/FIRE in the RR database is 154.875, but when they test on Monday it is on the regular freq 158.805 just with the 100.0 pl tone instead of the regular 156.7 pl tone, so does this mean that 154.875 with pl tone 100.0, should be 158.805 w a pl tone of 100.0, I know that I can tell when the test the Backup repeater it is farther away then the regular. All in all though I was just wondering do they just test it on the 158 or is the backup 158.8050 pl 100.0 not the 154.875 pl 100 like in the Database. Maybe you can clear this up for RR database if its wrong and myself if im not understanding correctly. Thanks LOVE AND BLESSINGS

You are correct in your assessment. The RR database is incorrect. What you observed is correct in that the backup repeater carries a different PL tone so that it does not conflict with the primary repeater. It is only used when the primary goes down. There is no difference in freqencies between the two as all fire and EMS pagers operate on the 158.805 frequency. The primary repeater location is at Enos, near the intersection of US 41 and CR 100N. The backup is five miles south at the Newton County Highway garage in Morocco.

Thank You, another thing like last week, Radio Techs were working on the Repeater, was this for Narrowbanding? I noticed some Departments were having problems with there pagers, maybe its just me but when I hear them Page some Departments there tone sounds a little different. Thanks again Brother:)

Yes, we had to replace the repeater due to narrowbanding and it is not setting off all of the pagers for all of the departments. The excuse is that we have pager tones below 300hz and this repeater has issues. They are continuing to work on it.

Wow had to replace it, that stinks. Oh I see, good excuse hopefully he is right and can fix it that really stinks, hopefully they get it worked out. Did the Sheriff Repeater get Narrowbanded and did they have to get a replacement for that one also? I thought I heard the Radio Tech on the Sheriff Repeater a couple or so days before I heard them on the Fire/EMS/EMA repeater. Thanks for the info Brother:) LOVE AND BLESSINGS
