Hi Thunderbolt
i see you updated the DB on 08/30/10 for newfoundland.
i just up loaded them and will hope to hear something on them this coming weekend as i will be in the areas with the new system.
but how do you find out what they are using or what you posted in terms of the DB.

but how do you find out what they are using or what you posted in terms of the DB.

You pretty much have to search the entire VHF-High band and find the control channels. Then you have to program them into your scanner as a P25 trunking system. How you approach the actual monitoring of the system itself, totally depends on what type of scanner you are using?

i'm using a 396xt.
i loaded what is in the DB using freescan.
and how do i search the vhf high band.

I am not that familiar with the 396XT to guide you on programing a search. This is something that you should consult either in your owner's manual, or by posting a question in the Uniden Scanner Forum. That being said, I would search the following band segments for activity:

• 139.000 - 143.975 MHz
• 150.710 - 162.375 MHz
• 162.575 - 174.000 MHz

also wanted to let you know
all works good except the west coast area.
wasn;t able to hear any chatting on it what so ever.
