Rumour has it that CSP ran a real test of the License Plate Recognition System in Denver along Federal Blvd. this past weekend. Rumour also has it that CSP ran the cameras from an unmarked Tahoe and DPD provided the chase cars for "hits".

Can you elaborate for us?

I am not sure what they were using but they were sure busting stolden cars as well as "associated" hits -- warrants for people associated with a specific license plate -- right and left. My wife and I listened for several hours and they busted a boat load.

I'm all for it. Better to do it that way with backup than be surprised on a routine stop by yourself.
