Question on Jo Co group ID's

I am using a pro-2051 scanner. I have all the group ID's entered and everything works on Motorola tracking just as it should....however...every once in a while a group ID of 77556 will show up and just stay there. No noise, static, talk, nothing...just freezes on the ID. I have to physically forward the channel to start the scanner again.

Any idea on this or what it is? It is not entered in my database.

Nope. Sounds like a possible bug with your scanner. Can't you just lock out the id?

On a side note, how do you like the 2051? Would you recommend it? Someone is selling them on Ebay right now for $99 and was considering picking one up.

I think it is a decent scanner for what I do. I'd buy it again without a doubt.

I use it as a base unit but it would have been fun as hell to have as a kid 30 years ago in my truck.

Anyway, better scanners are probably made with more bells and whistles, maybe easier to program, but it is still a good radio....

how does the signal stalker featur work? snag any goods freqs with it?
