Question on unused CC on a P25II system

Hi all,
I went through 4 noted CC from RRDB 1 at a time and found that only 1 CC 416.875MHz has any audio which I can receive the TRS. At the moment I have all 4 CC programmed, do the other 3 CC which don’t receive audible signals do anything and can I delete them.

Only one control channel at a time is ever active per site. The others are alternate/backup/secondary control channels. If there is a problem with the primary control channel, the site will "roll over" to one of the other channels that are designated/capable of acting as a control channel.

Leave them all programmed, you never know when they site may roll to an alternate control channel. They are not doing any harm, the scanner will remain locked on the one that is active.

One note: some systems just change them occasionally.

As stated above, you need to have every control channel and the alternates (red and blue in RR) programmed - just in case....

Not picking on you, just clarifying to avoid confusion for anyone wondering "I don't see any blue..." We did away with the primary/alternate designations in the RRDB, all control capable channels are now red.
