Someone told me that Lakewood, Ohio will soon go to Apco 25 system. Will the Hp-1 download this application when it goes into effect. I am unable to find any information as to when, or what frequencies Lakewood will be using..

The short answer is Probably, but not right away. IF they are in the process of going digital, RR members in your area with digital scanners will have to map out the new system, unless someone gets the official set-up. Once the system is mapped, they will have to verify, and find some agency talk groups(sort of like different forum groups for people to communicate, except over the air). THEN, they have to send the info to the database here. Once the system is entered on this site, the HP-1 will automatically make it available to you.
You should ask members here for info on the status: Ohio Radio Discussion Forum
