Question Re the Uniden Home patrol Scanner.

Hello.Im Francisco in Tucson AZ,I been monitoring the Tucson Police Dept for years on my Nice Uniden Bearcat Scanner,only to find out out last week could not hear no more talk due to they went to a new system,PCWIN,Im thinking of getting a New Uniden Home patrol,lots of good feedback on this scanner.Does anyone know if this Scanner will pick up the New System PCWIN in Tucson? Thanks in advance.

The PCWIN system (Pima County Wireless Integrated Network (PCWIN) Trunking System, Tucson, Arizona - Scanner Frequencies) is listed as a P-25 Phase II system so the old HP1 won't work on the Phase II talkgroups (although it should on the Phase I talkgroups). You'll need one of the two new Unidens, the BCD436HP or BCD536HP. The GRE PSR-800 using the last firmware (beta release) should also work. When Whistler releases their versions of the PSR-800 and PSR-900 (reportedly the WS-1080 and WS-1095), those should also work on PCWIN.
