Question regarding Broadcastify Terms and Conditions (Specifically 7 & 8) which are listed below.
7. NO RESALE OF SERVICE
You agree not to sell, resell, or offer for any commercial purposes, any portion of the Broadcastify Sites, use of the Broadcastify Sites, or access to the Broadcastify Sites.
8. COMMERCIAL USE
Any use of any of the materials on this site other than for private, personal, non-commercial viewing purposes is strictly prohibited unless a license is obtained from Broadcastify. The sale, auction, lease, loan, gift, trade or barter, or use of any of the text, database tables, table data, database schema, graphics, photographs, audio and/or video material, for any other purpose, in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed, including the use of any of the aforementioned materials on any other Web site or networked computer environment, without a prior written consent or official license for use from Broadcastify, is expressly prohibited.
eDispatches charges Fire Departments x number of dollars for a pager notification system which (as you all well know) listens to a dispatch channels for the pager tones then rebroadcasts the call using the specific tones to a wireless device or email. They state that the scanner feed is complimentary with a service subscription however, without the feed in place the eDispatches system would not be able to operate. In my county the eDispatches system is located at the county sheriff's office using the broadcastify feed to alert the subscribers. Just curious as this appears to be in violation of terms 7 & 8
7 because it's rebroadcasting a scanner feed for a paid subscription to the user and 8 because it violates the "Commercial Use Clause" as eDispatches is a for profit business.
