Question regarding Pro-95

Just a quick question. I have a wall-wart power thing for my scanner now. Is it safe to leave the batteries in the scanner while im using the wall-wart to power the scanner?

internal batteries when you use the supplied non-rechargeable
battery holder, but it does not disconnect internal batteries
when you use the supplied rechargeable battery holder

The pro-95 comes with two types of battery containers. One for rechargable battereies (the yellow) and one for the regular batteries. If you run regular batteries in the yellow (rechargable) and plug it in via a power cable, you can cause serious damage to your unit. If you use recharagable batteries, you'll have no problems.

there was similiar discussion to this in the "why does RS recommend 1600mah batteries" thread, and the main thing listed in there is it is fine, but it is a slow charge, like 100mah charge, so it could take 14-18 hours for a full charge, and also that it had to be one of the most expensive chargers out there (the radio), so alot of people (myself included) use a dedicated batt charger... but my dad uses the radio to charge his, and has no problems and i doubt there would be any, but i prefer the quick charge...
