Scottsdale FD is dispatched on VHF 154.19 (along with most of the Valley fire departments) and simultaneously on the trunked Regional Wireless Cooperative Phoenix fire dispatch talk group.

After dispatch, fire calls are usually directed to VHF "fireground" frequencies, and medical and other calls are usually transferred to a talkgroup on Regional Wireless Cooperative.

If you just want to hear dispatch, you can hear it on an inexpensive VHF receiver, along with any nearby "fire" calls on VHF fireground frequencies..

However, when there are many incidents in the whole of the Valley, the radio traffic on 154.19 can be virtually continuous and some would say not listenable.

Also try the live audio feeds on Radio Reference, and there is an app for smart phones called "PHX Incident Alert" that is worth a try.

If you are interested in Fire calls, most working fires in Scottsdale are assigned to Phoenix Fire Ch A11 154.025. This is analog simplex, and you will hear the Alarm room, but you will need to be within a few miles of the incident to hear on scene units unless you have a good external antenna.

Medical calls for Scottsdale are usually assigned to K7 (RWC Trunked system Talkgroup 1614). K7 also carries medical calls for Tempe and parts of North Phoenix, so this is not limited to Scottsdale.

Larger medical incidents such as major accidents or mountain rescues are assigned to K10-13 (RWC Trunked system talkgroups 1611, 1610, 1609, and 1608 respectively). These talkgroups are also used valley wide and are not limited to Scottsdale.

Listen for units with callsigns 6xx on the radio (ie Engine 602, Ladder 611, etc). Scottsdale contracts with Maricopa Ambulance for medical. Scottsdale medical units will be "Maricopa 6xx" callsigns on the radio.

This page may be of interest to you. This is the public incident page that is maintained by the Phoenix FD Regional Dispatch Center. Any incidents that aren't protected by medical privacy laws, or for first responder safety, will be listed here.
This will show most fires, hazmat incidents, motor vehicle crashes (962's), and mountain rescues. Heart attacks, strokes, and other medical calls will not be listed. Nor will calls assigned to K-4 for first responder safety reasons.
Most calls outside of PFDRDC jurisdiction will not be shown, unless a member department or district is called for mutual-aid. So you won't see most Rural-Metro FD, Mesa FD RDC, Salt River FD, or other FD calls.
