Question: Washoe Co EDACS Frequencies

I am not new to to scanning, but very much new to programming trunked systems. The question I have is in reference to the frequencies as listed on this website for Washoe Co EDACS and where these frequencies can be verified.

The question I have is in reference to 003 (Crystal Bay) and 005 (Chimney Peak). Both of these locations have the same frequency in the #1 spot (855.2375). Is this correct? Where can these be verified? As I understand it, only those that are simulcast (such as Red Peak & Peavine) can contain the same frequencies and the LCN should be identical. Maybe I am overthinking this... but that's how you learn... right?

How close are the two sites? If the two sites are not close enough that they could each be in range of a single user at the same time, then it wouldn't matter a single bit.

Pardon my lack of knowledge of the area, I'm visiting Reno and Mt. Rose next week, but I've never been out that way before.

The frequencies shown have been verified. The Chimney Peak site by me. There is a large range of mountains between the two sites. Crystal Bay is right at Lake Tahoe and Chimney is west of Verdi almost in California. The sites would not interfere with each other.

Thank you for your input. I did know the basic location of each site, however, the information I received was that since these are basically 10 individual systems that are networked, that all frequencies must be different (except for the Red Peak / Peavine simulcast). Apparently... that information was incorrect. Thank you again for the clarification.

Big Help

Thanks to the forum. Not new to scanning. 43 now and have a family of law enforcement and history of electronics myself, been scannin since crystals were available at Radio Shack!!!!

I recently moved from Sac valley to Washoe County area, and was having trouble programming. Sacto went to 800 mhz, Motorola Type II in the late 80s. More recently have gone DIGITAL! Never had to deal with EDACS before. This forum helped me out a bunch on that. I don't even have to put up my outside antenna!!
