Hi g42 welcome to RadioReference :)

First Students Canada is a "re-badging" of Laidlaw Transit and if they are still using Laidlaw's assigned freq. out of Burlington then you should find them on 140.280 and 141.030

Just checked out the database for Halton and someone has submitted an update, so 140.28 is confirmed. :)

Laidlaw got bought out by First Group from the UK, so that's why they are rebranding everything.

when i put that in my scanner changed the freq to 140.275

Looks like an American "step size" default. It should still receive it okay.
You wouldn't happen to have a GRE or RadioShack model ?
