Question about the Uniden BC-RH96 remote head...

Does the remote head need a power supply seperate from the scanner that it is connected to? I have enough wires running everywhere now, and if i need a seperate power tap then maybe it will outweigh the desire to have the radio in a more conveient location.

THANKS!

Yes, it does need its own 12vdc power. In my car I'm going to cut off the supplied cigarette lighter plug and connect it to a barrier strip that I use for my other radio power. The barrier strip is switched off with the key. If you use the supplied power cable and your cig lighter isn't switched off with the key, you'll have to turn the RH-96 off when you shut off the car.
