That is a trunked system and your scanner is not able to listen to it.

Ahh... thank you,
so if you don't mind me asking then, what should I do, what other scanner would pick up this?
thank you for telling me,

Please provide a link to where I can see the system. While based on the photo you attached I can see it is a trunked system, I do not know what type of system (mode), which makes a difference in scanner selection. The FCC license still has it as analog, but apparently they switched, probably DMR CAP+ but I do not know.

so in general.. should I buy a new scanner?
Are there any cheap ones that would work with them?
what should I plan on doing?

though thank you for this help both of you.

I doubt it’s trunked anything. This is a small track so I see no need for a trunked system.

I would just enter the frequencies listed and give a listen.

At 4 watts you’ll only hear them if you are at the track or within a mile or so.

The license shows them to be conventional analog.

Totally agree with you based on the FCC license (as mentioned above) but the image he posted from somewhere shows control channel and LCNs for the freqs which indicates it may have switched. This is why I asked for the source link to that image.

I see nothing that indicates a control channel.

Let’s wait until April and he can report back. I’d hate for him to waste money on a trunked capable radio when all he needs is conventional analog.

@Banjo_Z2005 - Looking at the frequency sheet for the track from last year, I now think it is still analog and the numbers in brackets are the PL code, not sure why one is in red in post #1.

new update!!

I talked to Lou McMurray of GreatLakesFrequencies.com, he isn't from Wisconsin but one of his friend/partners is,
and he ended up giving me some info that I might need! he isn't use to the WS1010, but rather the SC230.
regardless, he knows his stuff about local short-track racing freqs.
