And i Have TheProper Frequencies In For Parkersburg Fire & Police
Departments But I Notice WHen Pfd Is Paged The Page Is Muffled But The Call Is Not I Have The RX On FM And Also Why Does The Pd Radios Cut In And Out During The Transmissions Please Can Someone Help Me I Am New To Digital Scanning

Also, since the city operates an LTR system, why did you buy the PRO-96 that doesn't do LTR?

He does mention he's new to scanning, so I wouldn't expect him to have ever heard of LTR, let alone what it is. :?

I'm not familiar with your area, but if Voyager is correct in saying that your city uses LTR, then he's right, your PRO-96 is not the right choice. LTR is something I just became aware of myself. You can read about it here:

Take your scanner back to Radio Shack, and get the PRO-97. It's about $300.00 cheaper too! It's an excellent scanner, and as long as you don't need to receive the newer "Digital" modes, it should cover anything else you run into.

As to the muffled, I am not sure. But the cutting-in-and-out sounds as if you are not getting a clear signal. It may be too weak or too strong or you are getting interference from adjacent channels. Try using the ATT and see what happens.

APCO25 digital does not reproduce sine waves at all well, so they will sound like garbage on a P25 system.
