PSCC - Anyone else hearing 2 clicks before & after MONTGOMERY COUNTY FIRE does or is done a dispatch?

MIKES - Do they use power MIC'S, because every once in a while I will here 'your volume is to low"

ECHOING - when I heare them talk I seem to hear an echo in the background like maybe either another radio picking up their voice, or maybe they too have scanners like us.

Hello:

I can't copy MC from AACo so I can't hear the clicks, but I do know that they do not use "power" mic's. Low volume can be caused by the operator not holding the mic close enough to their mouth, speaking too softly, or a malfunctioning radio or speaker/mic. Echoing is usually caused by a nearby radio or radio speaker - it could be a scanner, but more likely its a fellow officer's or FF's radio. Some VFD's in the county have scanners mounted in command vehicles, and occasionally an officer or trooper might have a scanner in his car.

Also coppers are known to talk across the room when they talk on ps radios. I guess its cool and a good show.
