Quick and easy BCD325P2 question

I just got a SDS200 but want a handheld that will break the bank a little less than an SDS100. Looked at all the info I could find and it looks like the BCD325P2 does not use 'favorite files' like the 100 and 200. Is that correct? Seems like it could connect to to Sentinel on my PC though.

I'm pretty sure these P2 models do not work with Sentinel. You will need 3rd party software such as ProScan or the appropriate version of Butel's ARC software. Then you would also need a premium membership here if you want to use that software to import info directly from the database here.

No Sentinel support however there are many third party options available like Butel or ProScan available.

Freescan latest version works with 325 and it is free.

Sentinel will not work with 325.

325 is a good radio, but nothing close to sds100.

Also FREEASCAN works with the 325P2 with DMR but if you plan on adding NXDN FREESCAN does not support NXDN.

I programmed my bc325 using the info from the sds200 for the same site by sentinnel. So imput the site in yhe sds200 then manually matched the setup in the 325 worked great.

325 is a good radio, but nothing close to sds100.

Unless you want/need to carry it with you a lot, espcially descretely! Then you can't beat the BCD325P2.

For its size and price, you get a whole lot with the 325P2. I've been very pleased with mine. I use ProScan to program it and my 996P2 both, and I use FreeScan to program my BCT15X.

Unless you want/need to carry it with you a lot, espcially descretely! Then you can't beat the BCD325P2.

If your primary reason for buying is size, then the 396xt and 325p2 are the best radios. I own a couple of each.

If you are looking for the best radio, the sds100 is far superior to them.
