BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Quick Keys

I have just purchased a 436, I had one in 2017 but sold it, now that we have a new statewide P25 phase 2 network going live, I needed to upgrade.

With my previous one, I use to be ae to turn on and off the systems by press just the number key, now I need to press. 1 E. What I have configured wrong?

The E(yes) key is always required for QK selection with the x36HP models, and always has been.

You are mis-remembering the steps required.

I like having to press the Eyes button. That keeps me from inadvertently turning something Off//On by merely bumping a button while grabbing the scanner.

That said, this step has always been the case with any scanners after the x96 models.
