It does depend on what you are doing. If you are just casual listening, that is fine. If you are attempting to figure out a system...well it depends. Usually when a LTR Regular system is split between towers, the TG's are home channeled on different home repeaters. Even the ID's may be different. This can lead to confusion if both are in the same bank. For example: Joe's Wrecker Service may be 0-05-100 on one site and 0-09-310 on the other. Even if the same ID's (say 100) is used on both, it is likely they will be homed to a different home LCN on the other site (say 0-05-100 & 0-09-100) which may make you think they are different channels when indeed they are the same. The radio doesn't care, it just reports what it decodes on the sub-audible stream it is getting.
