Where do I find the system sid at? I'm sure I have used it before. Thanks for all your help.
The "sid" and the "SysID" are not the same thing. The "sid" is a RadioReference.com database key and has nothing to do with the SysID of Motorola systems. Also, you as the RR Member using the value added features do not need to know the "sid" for any reason (unless you want to develop your own software). The software you are using will address any need to link between the various keys in the database.maddogdecker said:Only reason I want to know is because of the features I got when I became donating member.
All Motorola and Project 25 systems broadcast a system ID. Other trunking systems (EDACS, etc.) do not have them.Grog said:I've encountered several systems that do not transmit the ID. Sometimes it can be because of signal %, but these are 90-99%.

Interesting. I wonder how the "real" radios work, since they require the sysid on the CC to make sure they don't affiliate with the wrong system.Grog said:I've been using trunktrackers since the 1st one came out, and I do know what the moto CC sounds like. I've encountered several (6-10) 800 & 900 systems that are not transmitting a sysId that the 97/2055 can decode.
I would not think so. Looking at the trunking system that Stark County uses it appears that most public safety is digital and a lot of it is encrypted.skip294 said:looking at a uniden898t can i get the trunked for ohio stark country.and will this take care of my needs. thanks in advance, skip
