Quick question.

Hi All..I have my feed going at http://www.keithmj.com/scan.html and I am using Windows Media Encorder and Streamwebtown to do it. It work OK but am having problems with the WME hanging or just quitting and it will just quit after running a few hours. What would be another Encoder that I could use? I do not use Shoutcast, live365 or icecast so I can't use Simplcast and I am using a PRO-2053 scanner so I can't use Procast. Also what would be another server like Streamwebtown that is low priced that I could use? Thanks..Keithmj

If you already have Simplecast it has a WME in it.

I'm using WaveStreaming (http://wavestreaming.com/) for one of my feeds and I've been pleased so far. I'm paying $4 a month for 10 listener slots at 24k. I'm ecoding using Simplecast though, not Windows Media Encoder.

Hi All..Well I finally got it working..I hope..I switched to Simplecast and then got 10 listener slots at 24k from Wavestreaming.com and as soon as I put in my info it was working. Just make sure you put in the correct Bitrate info or you will get locked out for a hour, it happened to me. I'll let it run for awhile to see what happens. I don't think I'll mess around again with window media encoder as I had to many problems..Thanks guys..Cheers..Keithmj

Hello again..I just had a popup window with Simplecast about purchasing the program. It is $139.00 Just a little expensive isn't it. Does anyone know what I can use in place of it? Window Media Encoder will not work for me, buggy as you know what. I really like the program but didn't want to dish out that much right now..I figured about $50.00 not $139.00..HELP..Cheers..Keithmj

I said the heck with it and just got it..I tried Oddcast and had problems with it also. Now I don't have any problems..

Wow, they went on the price a little!! I paid like $50 last September for the Simplecast software!
