Quinnipiac Univ. Police/Security

Does anyone out there know the frequencies of the Quinnipiac Univ. Police and or Security? Nothing listed in the data base and I live in Hamden and have never been able to pick up anything that sounds like QU.

Try searching the FCC database for 'Quinnipiac" only using the advanced search feature. Just select Connecticut for the state and leave everything else blank, you should be able to find some frequencies from them. Some may be listed as "College" since that was their name before turning into a University a few years back.

Also you can search for Hamden, CT also instead and search through the list.

The "home" channel on the LTR passport system they use is 464.3125. 95% of the security traffic can probably be heard on this freq.
This system cannot be "scanned" by any scanner, but you can monitor that freq. like any other conventional freq. and hear most of the "action"
The only problem is you also have to listen to the annoying keyups every second or so.
