I am still searching to get a BC246T, here is a quote from USASCAN.COM
"The BC246T is on backorder at Communications Electronics. Because the Uniden factory cannot supply all units that CEI currently has on order, and the BC246T is an allocated product, future delivery dates are indefinite but not sooner than February 10, 2005.
