I've had my R-10 for some time now, and have been using the DOS Programming Software since then...

I'm hoping Shareware exists now for Windows based setup......

Can anyone advise me whats available?

Thanks in advance!

Marc, if you go to the thread right above this one - the one that mentions the Icom Wiki- click on the link in that message and you'll be taken to a page listing Icom receivers. Click on the R10 and you'll go to the R10 page - where there's several Windoze packages (heck, there's even a tck/tl package) that support the R10. Of these, CI-V Commander, Ham Radio Deluxe and tk10 are free - and AFAIK, have solid reputations.

Thank you Mike for the lead! I'll take a look, and hope they have just the programming software available, as I don't have a CI-V interface box....Just the serial/Miniplug cable originally that came with the DOS Software package....

Marc you might consider joining the R10 Yahoo group. They may be able to advise how to get a substitute for the CIV interface, or whether you need one at all just for cloning ops.

By the way, I use Radiomax quite frequently with my 895 for milair monitoring. Nice package, even tho it has some weaknesses (all software does....). Check out my review on Strong Signals, which can be found as a link on the Uniden BC895 page if you're interested. 73s and GL...Mike
