How does the R 8600 receive on 700 MHz ??
I have a R 7100 and it gets some interference from a cell phone tower that is broadcasting I believe on 700 MHz .. Tower is about 4 or 5 blocks away. Is there some type of filtering on the 8600 that helps with this type of issue?

I don't have specific information on internal filtering, but the R8600 is a high performance receiver that does exceptionally well in high RF environments. I have an Icom R7100 and an R8600 and the 8600 runs circles around the 7100 in sensitivity, high signal handling, etc.
