I have the CS-R30 software and the R30 I can see the R30 on com port 4 but I get a message that says " Connected receiver is not a compatible model"the current driver is installed. Any help would be great.

You have to go into the menu system on the receiver to the last entry called OTHER, select CLONE, then select CLONE MODE, then reply YES. At that point the software should recognize the receiver.
Yup it is set to clone mode
I think I will try a factory reset nothing to lose as I have not programed ant thing yet
If your firmware version is 1.10 or 1.11, you have to update your software to version 1.1 to get it to recognize the receiver. The software on the dvd is version 1.0.
Yup I have 1.1 so how do I up date if I can't connect to the PC?

Yes, to update firmware, you use the micro sd card but you copy the download firmware to the card with the receiver in USB mode, not in clone mode.
if you have programmed anything into the receiver, it might get wiped out. Make sure you have the North American version of firmware and use 1.11. Version
ADDED/CORRECTION - Now that I am home on a real PC (and not a cellphone), the firmware versus is called USA Version. There is only one version of the CS-R30 software for the whole world. Bottom line, the firmware on the receiver has to be at the same basic level as the software on the PC because the memory organization and some menu options changed with firmware upgrade to V1.1 but V1.11 just fixed a few small problems.
