not sure what this is - usfs region 4 is the intermountain region that includes 12 different national forests in WY + NV + ID + UT - this seems to be just sites in Nevada - maybe these repeaters are just used for IC to Dispatch Center comms?
It is a listing for the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and shows all the new nets except for the Carson and Bridgeport Ranger Districts. 169.8750 is no longer in use on the Carson RD, it has been replaced by 173.7750, same as the Austin-Tonopah Ranger Districts (central NV) shown up there. 170.5250 is used on only that one repeater for the small Santa Rosa Ranger District up on the northern boundary of Nevada north by northeast of Winnemucca. It was the furthest west district of the old Humboldt NF before the merger. The Bridgeport RD uses the same frequency. The remaining old Humboldt Ranger Districts were switched over from either 171.4750 or 171.5750 to 169.9000 a year or two ago. Not all of the repeaters for the HTF are being shown on the list. These are the forest nets for the forest, everyone uses them, fire and all other functions. The main fire workload on the HTF is on the Carson and Bridgeport RD's in the Sierra Nevada. They don't have a fire net and service net on the forest, like the surrounding R5 forests all have. There are 6 BLM districts in Nevada and 5 interagency dispatch centers. The HTF is dispatched by all of them, depending on the area. There isn't a central forest dispatch in the Reno-Sparks area where the Forest Supervisor's Office is located. Many years ago, up to the early 1980's, they used ranger district dispatchers as the system was not linked together on either forest. They had a repeater channel with no way to choose repeaters individually, so if someone was high on a peak they would bring up more than one repeater, which really sounded awful. When late Hubby and I used to travel over the Sierra Nevada crest and hit the R4 line, we used to say, turn the clocks back 40 years!
