Racom P25 conversion, timeline?

I have read earlier this year about Racom will be discontinuing support for EDACS, in favor of P25.

Is Racom going to do this across their entire system or on a case-by-case basis? Or can someone clarify what Racom has planned.

Entire system.

The process is/was supposed to start in Q4 2011 (now). The EDACS system will be completely phased out between 2017 and 2020. So, we still have at least a few years left to listen in on the EDACS system.

Good article. Sounds like the change may be a while for City of Norfolk, which uses Racom. But then again it could happen tomorrow.
