I live on the east side of Des Moines and have noticed that the Jasper county sites in either Colfax or Newton come in alot better than the Polk county site. I also hear Scott county all the time on both the Jasper and Polk county sites.
Recently I have been hearing some kind of digital transmissions on the Polk county sheriff talk groups. Not sure what this is but I heard someone say late at night that they only download pictures during the day shift.
I have noticed that some of the Prairie Medows casino frequencies that are not trunked that are listed in the database here are really for Luthern hospital. The frequency was 464.4000.

I would like to hear from anyone that has any comments or has found some interesting frequencies in the Des Moines area.
