RACOM system-wide rebanding starts Feb 1st

Shows all the sites that have gotten new Site #s and the corresponding letters. I will be updating my PDF (again) and posting that later.

Nice find on that map! Surprised that they've rebanded only a handful of sites though.

Updated PDF again for those interested. Has the new map and updated license. No more news on rebanding yet, i've heard techs out there running thru channels but no mention of the R-word so not sure if they are taking a break or what.

Just to provide a little update(nothing new really). Storm Lake, Fort Dodge, Allison, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Marshalltown, Wellsburg, Independence, Oelwein, and Vinton have NOT been re-banded. I made a trip to NW Iowa and was keeping a log as I went.

Thanks for the update again Tim, I see they have changed the System designator but didnt actually change anything. I'm starting to really wonder what the holdup is... There are still quite a few sites that have LCN's over the 861 MHz range, and from what ive read, they cant keep them there. *taps fingers on table*

Found this on today's weekly FCC grants. I'm guessing these will be exclusive Dubuque frequencies on the RACOM system?

Dubuque rebanding

That chart looks a bit different from the last one, I occasionally go to the Quad cities and am surprised that I seem to be getting some either Bettendorf or Davenport traffic up here in Dubuque. I am sure one of you scanner techies can explain it but just find it interesting. BTW Is the quads done, so maybe I will grab the new sets and upload them to my 528? BUT for now will just keep what I have. Was interesting for a while with the semi rollover this evening.

CR South Reprogram

Can anyone help me program the CR site into a Pro-96?

I got the frequencies from someone on this thread:

Cedar Rapids-WQKD860(SID:09):
854.3875CC
856.8875
857.8875
858.8875
859.8875

When I enter in the control channel it shows at CTL-24. I don't know enough about EDIACS and the Pro96 to know, do I need to enter that into "channel" 24 in that EDIACS bank?

I seem to have the other CR site working ok... that CTL-3 ended up in "channel" 3. Note, I am putting both sites in separate banks.

That would be correct, doesnt mean it cant be used for other RACOM users but in the past when they license it like this, it means its for that user only.

It seems eastern Iowa has been getting some serious attention Most of the Dubuque area has been rebanded. Someone has submitted it to the database tho im not sure of any of its accuracy. As far has hearing anything new on it from RACOM itself, they have been using their new channel to chat now so must avenues of info have been cut. Seems they are still actively working on the project...

GID 7, you will only see it on the Marshalltown site and anywhere the tech is affiliated to.

I still hear techs talk on roll call and other chans from time to time. Heck I just listen to roll call to see where they are. I think some of the late night tickets that go out to the techs are funny.

Haha yep, they can be rather entertaining. Some new info down the pipe:

LeClaire is System P, active LCNs are 2, 10, 11, 12

LCN 3 and 4 are offline. Frequencies will come later.

Dyersville is rebanded today. They are having some issues but it should be resolved soon.
