Dubuque 1 was just rebanded at 1330 today. Anyone around over there :)

I don't think Dubuque1 changed at all, but Dubuque 2 was rebanded. At least that's how they were numbered on here...

I've got all the LCNs done for Dubuque county, but it seems like they must have changed some site IDs or turned up the power. I'm getting 5 out of the 7 sites in loud and clear here and some new IDs. So I'll have to do some more work on assigning locations.

Yea, when they reband they almost always change the Site ID. I don't have any of the above LCN plans yet, but after some tedious work i have narrowed down what most of the new bandplan is. At least Phase 1 anyways. As for Dubuque 1/2, I have no idea. They never really specified which site they were working in. Seems they are working their way back west so when they get closer to central Iowa I will be able to do the confirmations again myself. Anyone up in the NE region able to get the new LCN plan for the above sites?

Please keep the group and the database advised once you're done sorting through the changes. Thanks.

Waterloo - Cedar Falls rebanded.

I heard while in the Waterloo area this morning that both Waterloo and Cedar Falls RACOM sites had enabled their rebanded frequencies but left their old ones out there. Supposedly they are simulcasing on both systems for a couple of weeks before they turn off the old frequencies. I guess there are problems with certain radios that can't be reprogrammed.

I was hearing that dispatch could not hear certain fire units but other mobiles could hear them ok.

I don't have the setup to get you LCN's or know any of the changed frequencies at this point but thought I would give the group the heads up on the change.

I've been searching the 851. to 861 reband freqs and haven't heard anything from Black Hawk County law or EMS.

For clarification -
Was it RACOM techs or Black Hawk Co. dispatch, officers, etc. talking about it?

Did they specifically mention Waterloo and Cedar Falls or did you here them talking on a Waterloo or Cedar Falls channel?

I haven't heard any new systems on the air in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area either. Old systems are still up and working.

2010-06-02 - Overheard RACOM techs talking about reprogramming radios in Grundy County.

thom50669 - Thanks for the heads-up there was something going on in the area.

Wellsburg is in Grundy Center.

The RR Database has Wellsburg1 (site 1204) as not being rebanded and Wellsburg2 (site 1904) with rebanded freqs???

800MHz Transition Administrator site and the FCC only list 861.2125 for Wellsburg.

The database has some errors, there is no Wellsburg1 and 2. There is only 1 physical site. No idea why they have it listed twice. AFAIK it isn't rebanded either unless it was very recently. They were up that way this afternoon doing some work for Grundy Co Sheriffs Office. I'll have to dig up the proper LCN order for Wellsburg to get rid of the confusion.

Database info for Dubuque (Dyersville) tower seems to be incorrect also. I haven’t heard a word from them in a few weeks now. Anyone know what has changed at that site?

RACOM Master Rev5.pdf

When i get some free time, i will be updating this to Rev 6 to reflect recent changes.

HearThrobs: My PDF has all the licenses for this rebanding, including those licensed to other agencies but used by RACOM. As i said above, when i get some free time I will be adding all the changes in the past couple weeks plus I will add a new page with *predicted LCN assignment*. Which is based on info from all the sites that have been rebanded so far, frequency information from the FCC and some other sources. Not to be taken as %100 truth, but it SHOULD be accurate enuf to make finding new LCN assignments a breeze.

Been working on a master spreadsheet to covers all the new LCNs and site numbers/letters. I would call it about 3/4 done, but still needs some site numbers to go with System letters and a few sites that have oddball frequencies that don't fit in the normal plan.

splash1:
Dyersville: System E (unknown site ID, maybe 14)
(3)859.1125 (4)860.1125 (5)861.1125 (14)861.6125

^^ At least that is what fits into the normal band plan. May or may not be accurate. Any confirmation would be greatly appreciated!

I will be in the hills of eastern Iowa Saturday for a grad party unless it gets cancelled or moved because of rain. I will try to spend some time searching and report back Sunday.

Awesome, thanks Brian. Things are settling down for me finally and I will be able to go do some scouting myself. Hopefully I can make it out east as well to do some decoding.

Thanks Adam

I can now hear the Dyersville site again.

Yea it does a little. Did you happen to notice what LCN was showing active when 854.6125 came up? It should be the LCN 15.
