So is 861.1125 both LCN 5 & 17,
and 861.6125 both LCN 6 & 14,
and 859.1125 both LCN 3 &12 ?, or are my eyes playing tricks on me.

Wow im sorry, i need to have my morning caffeine before i post. The post i made earlier with the complete set SHOULD be accurate. But because i dont have any confirmed System E LCN lists it could be anyones guess.

Take what you see in the field over what i have posted. My LCN orders are strictly hypothetical compared to other sites with similar frequency sets. If you see something else in the field please note down the differences and either post them here or PM me, and i will adjust my set. I dont have a lot of confirmed data to go off of so its a lot of comparing sets and seeing what matches the closest. Thanks in advance and sorry for the confusion!

Heres how I found what I have. I have a Pro -92 that I tuned to the control channel. It would show me the LCN and the talk group that was transmitting. Then I had my BC796D programmed with all of the frequencies from 851.1125 to 865.1125 and 851.6125 to 865.6125 and let it do a normal scan not an EDACS scan. When BC796D would stop on a frequency, I would note the LCN on the Pro -92, and so forth. Later I programmed the BCD796D with the list that I had posted earlier. Works like a charm on both units.

Note - Every once in a while I would get a LCN 14 come up, but could not catch the frequency because it would touch so quickly. Not sure if it was an fluke or not, I was doing it at 2am Sunday morning.

I was wrong about my units working like a charm on Dyersville with the list I posted. I am missing something somewhere. The order I have follows some stuff, but not everything. What order do you guys have?

Well that's the big question, it has been asked on another's site as well with no answer. I did plug in the set of frequencies you posted and i am able to hear traffic but not sure if I'm catching all of it or not.

The control channel shows up as c-861.6125 s-14.

Doing a search on my pro 106, 855.4875 comes up with voice traffic and an fcc search shows a listing for Dyersville. I don't have any lcn order for it. Hopefully someone will post what they have also.

If you have the ability to run Unitrunker or (preferably) Unitrunker Retro, it will show you what LCNs are coming active and let you see what voice channel its trying to find.

855.4875 appears to be what i call a 'oddball' channel. It doesn't exactly fit into any of the normal RACOM plans, but its tacked onto the end of the LCN list to make up for area-specific requirements. i.e. they can't use the normal LCN list because system XYZ next door is too close or something. In the past, RACOM has put its oddballs in the 17-24 LCN slots. So you might try and program all 4 channels in your scanner to that and see if it hits it. Otherwise you could always just fill in all the gaps in channels with the missing frequency and pay close attention to what channel # it is when its active.

The typical RACOM frequency plan:
LCN:
1. 856.aaaa
2. 857.aaaa
3. 858.aaaa
4. 859.aaaa
5. 860.aaaa
6. 861.aaaa
7. 854.aaaa
8. 855.aaaa
9. 856.bbbb
10. 857.bbbb
11. 858.bbbb
12. 859.bbbb
13. 860.bbbb
14. 861.bbbb
15. 854.bbbb
16. 855.bbbb
17-24. oddballs, no real system

all .aaaa and .bbbb frequencies have the same last 4 respectively, i.e. .4625. So if LCN 6 is 861.6125, and LCN 12 is 859.1125; you can safely say that LCN 1-8 will have the same last 4 of .4625 and LCN 9-16 will have .1125.

Hope this helps!

Cedar Falls site does not appear to be working on the old frequencies. Anyone know for sure?

Cedar Falls should be the following:

Site: 13, System: E
9: 856.1125
10:857.1125
11: 858/1125
12: 859.1125
13: 860.1125
14: 861.1125
15: 854.1125

Not verified, if they rebanded Waterloo, Cedar Falls should be right behind.

They are out at West Des Moines today, maybe getting ready to do some work down this way.

I have confirmed this using Unitrunker and plugging it into my scanner. I will be getting it into the database

Using Radioman's List, Let's try this:
Dyersville E

6) 861.6125, 7)854.6125, 12)859.1125, 13)860.1125, 14)861.1125, 17)855.4875

Seems to follow better than it did before.

Any advice on using unitrunker retro, have it down loaded but not sure what it needs to run it.

A discriminator tap output from the scanner to the line-in on your computer is all you need. You can use the UniScope app to check your input levels, you are looking for the wave to fill about 75% of the window.

Note, in this configuration you wont be able to FOLLOW traffic, but it will let you visually see anything happening on the site. Most importantly, it will let you see what LCNs are active, and with a known frequency list its trivial to figure out the order.

I have heard of some success monitoring the control channel with just the headphone output but I haven't tried it. I'm sure it depends on how filtered the audio output is.
