Hello everyone! I recently did a ride along with an local police deparment and got a radio, i was listening to the transmission and relize that the end of transmission tone is different from my scanner.
The end of transmission tone is real quick like a half second but with my scanner i get the full tone. And another question is there a scanner out there that will not transmit a morris code noise because that can get anoying.

The radio is designed to shut off the receive audio when it receives the end of transmission tone. Your scanner most likely isn't.

As far as the morse code (you have a typo or misspelling on that of morris code) is concerned, if the system uses tone code squelch or digital coded squelch (PL or DPL are other terms for it) the receiving radios don't normally hear it because the tone is NOT transmitted with the FCC call sign/station identification morse code. You talk about the scanner transmitting the morse code, you are talking about what you hear out the scanner's receive speaker, correct?

I don't know what system you're talking about so that's as specific as I can get. Ask in the state forum where the system is and you can get more specific answers.
