Thanks, guys. I've been closely monitoring the Downs and Derby Festival channels since Thunder. Loads of activity. Derby Day should be a blast.

There is a tentative Fleet Map posted in another recent thread that is better than the one listed under RCS, but I am still testing it.
Block 5 & 6 still have me confused.

I need Type II id's for those two blocks to test the possibilities. It does not affect your listening, just the accuracy who or what exactly you are hearing.
The wrong size code can enable you to hear the same set of users (radios) under two different talk group identifiers, which is why it is important to have the right size in use.

I'm confused on what these things are and how I should program my scanner for them. Can you enlighten me?

Thanks!

They will download with scanner software, but it depends on if RR has the right (information) codes, right now 1-2 need changing. (Which I will post and send in when I get a better analysis completed).

Or you can go under programming, system, options for Uniden scanners and set it manually.

It mainly groups users within the "correct" identification talkgroup, otherwise the same user can appear to have two or three different identification labels.

You can still hear everything...
if you want to see how this works, change fleetmap Block 7 to S0 instead of S11
and watch and listen, you will see multiple TG id's for the same user. A fleetmap just groups all of these together so all those multiple id's will show up as 700-2 or 700-11 or 700-9. This is how Type I systems work, Type II or P25 systems don't have this problem.

Another problem is RCS rents radios to users, so they can easily program them for each user each time they come back from the rental.

Ok the best i can come up with, since Oaks is today and Derby tomorrow is this fleet map.

Size Mot
Block 0 S-0 -
Block 1 S0 -
Block 2 S2 E
Block 3 S3 G
Block 4 S0 -
Block 5 S6 C
Block 6 S2 E
Block 7 S11 J

Size Mot
Block 0 S0 -
Block 1 S0 -
Block 2 S2 B
Block 3 S3 C
Block 4 S0 -
Block 5 S6 F
Block 6 S2 B
Block 7 S11 K

Oops, previous posting of Motorola codes was wrong, so I fixed them in this post. Most people only need or want the Size Codes, that is what Uniden and Radio Shack use these days.

And also submitted to RR database.

on the road to Nonesuch, Ky...
I'll be at Keeneland/Lexington for the Derby and possible nasty wx.... Did a lot of listening this morning and last night, many of the 700- ids were good.... apparetnly 700-12 is Parking/Brantley at Churchill and at least one other group, also at Churchill.... there was a discussion early this morning where one set of users needed to talk to themselves and one of the other sets of users kept answering.... 700-12 is "Channel 1" for the other group, never could find "Channel 2"--they went to it following the exchange above... possibly they are using an input freq as a TA.... don't know what to do with all of these TGIDs that have been submitted, they may or may not workl with the new fleet map...

700-12 is Brantley services, they acquired it last year or the year before... they handle event management. (and transportation too).
I've seen a lot more I-call stuff too.

I will try and convert what I have to the "new" fleet map and then (we) can delete what is unknown and start over.
There should not be any xxx-00 groups, I think there is one company that has a fleet wide call, that is what xxx-00 is reserved for under Type I.

Now to tackle the RCS Indiana system... it is possible that the "other" channel could be on that system since the radios, even the ancient ones, can handle more than one system.

Here is my spreadsheet updated with Size codes translated in a fleet map group.
Some have multiple ID's listed.
you only need one of each, for instance 700-01, 700-02 is listed multiple times under many ID's, just put the 700-02 under a size-11 code and it will track properly.

I hope this is clear... now how to put this in the database.

Maybe I'm slow, but how do you find this system using the download method on arc-xt pro?!?

Beats me.. Both software programs that I use.. basic steps co like this:
go to RR import-trunked system-KY-Jefferson County-Radio Communication system-import.

There is an error right now, until fixed you'll have to change three blocks manually.
I expect it to be fixed soon, Unitcharlie is great about that.

Is there a web site that goes into more detail on how to map these fleets/sub fleets out, I do not totally understand how it works, I would like to learn how to map this stuff out. I looked at the wiki, everything is breif, does not go into much detail.
