"We have approved about 110,000 IDs and the system limit is 128,000. Currently, 95,000 are programmed into the system. About 12,000 are in Gold Elites."

Does anyone know why the ARMER system has a limit of only 128,000? (P25 should have a limit of around 16.7 million.) Am I interpreting the statement wrong? They are talking about radio ids, right?

I would imagine loading on the system would be part of it... I think before one of the moto upgrades the radio limit was a lot lower...

I would guess if they need more than 128,000 radios moto would find another upgrade to do it...

version 7.7 and earlier the limit of loaded radios was 64,000. Version 7.9 and above it increased to 128,000. Motorola has yet to clearly state if that is the maximum number of enabled IDs, the maximum simultaneous users per system, or the maximum simultaneous users per zone. Much of the ARMER funding comes from 911 taxes on your land and cell phones.
