With lots of agencys switching over to trunked, digital 800 mhz stuff....maybe an old fashioned vhf repeater is just sitting there and not much used...?? cuz:
May 31, we will be putting on a professional bicycle race....loops in downtown area...and a providence county loop. Looking for repeater site, community....vhf in the Smithfield area...and / if any available repeater sites on tall buildings in downtown area..example Fleet bank.
We rent business radios from Bearcom. Are there any good radio communications folks in town? Any one up to speed on scanned freq's in this area? especially for the EMS folks...
seems all ems / ambulance comms goes via fire?
Am ham radio op.
Have done all this sucsessfully in other locations.
Any ham club folks interested in participation?....shadow with state and local cops from race caravan via the "repeater" I am hoping to find?
