Which scanner is the best for richmond county in georgia. I would like scan and broadcast the public safety ,fire, and emt channels

Any of the older basic scanners that do analog and digital trunking.
Pro-106, PSR-500, 396T/XT.
You won't need anything that does Phase II.
Used to have a Pro-96 that worked great when out in that area.

I use a BCD996xt and a BC796D. My favorite is the 996xt and is easy to program with the FreeSCAN software. Like Larry said you don't need to spend the money on anything that does phase II. The only thing that is phase II around here is Columbia County and they are encrypted. There are other scanners that will work I just haven't used them to comment on them just make sure it's digital.
