Radio Japan, the foreign broadcasting service of NHK, has decided to eliminate their overseas shortwave services to Europe and North America. These cutbacks are planned to take place in October of 2007, according to the Radio Japan program, "World Interactive." Apparently, rising costs and an aging, declining listening audience are to blame for this cutback.
