i was thinking along the "big three" lines, GM, Ford and Chrysler kind of thing.
Depends on if you're talking about scanners, ham, or what...
Scanners: Uniden, Radio Shack, and AOR
Ham: Icom, Kenwood, Alinco, Yaseu.
Public Safety/Business: Motorola, Kenwood, Bendix-King, Icom.
There are a lot more out there, these are just some of the ones that you'll hear about a lot.
