radio shack 20-163

Newbee here.
I have a radioshack 20-163 and I want to only scan 4 channels.

What is the best way to do this?
Maybe you could point me to the correct thread?

Wow, a 163 that was my first scanner, now i have a hp-1. Just start with channel 000. I ususally put police first and then ems, then fire. If they are analog frequencies you have that won't be a problem. Just put the in as you would any other scanner, just hit the program button and its as simple as that

Thank you, Think I'm getting it. only programming the channels I want to use.
I was able to reset the machine.
