Radio Shack 20-176 Antenna Replacement

Hello All

For many many years I have used a 20-176 antenna for various Amateur Radio, scanner and CERT applications. It is no longer sold by Radio Shack.

Does anyone know of an antenna with similar characteristics and price?

Here is what I use..

I have one of those running now and bought a TRAM 1410 to replace it. I have it running on a BCD436HP and it works great. You can get a TRAM 1411 if you need low down around 35MHz. They say the whip on top the TRAM 1411 can actually hurt your 800MHz reception.

Was just in the closest Radio Shack here and they still have one for $14 something on clearance.

That's the antenna the OP was referring to in his posting. You can clearly see the model number "200-0176" on top of the UPC bar code if you zoom in the picture showing the back of the antenna's package.
