Radio Shack 9-Volt Vehicle DC-to-DC Adapter For PSR-500

HI, I would like to find out if any one has tried the Radio Shack 9-Volt 273-1863 with 273-1706 Adapt plug C .I was thinking of buying it for my PSR-500 and emailed GRE and answer from there Engineer was this

"It is good for physically. However, the 12VDC to 9VDC
adapter is switching type one. It generate a lot of noise.
So that, it is good to use ONLY for charging but not for receive"

12V DC to 9C Cigar lighter

I have been using the RS that you mentioned with no problems. I have Pro 96 & PSE 500 with a wye and before that two Pro 96's for about 3 years now. Just make sure that you have the polarity correct and try using them without the antenna first as the antenna does go to ground.

It's a 12 volt down to 9 volt, just a quick reminder to your ordering the 12V.

Normally these are in stock (along with the tips) at your neighborhood RS.
