Radio Shack really surprises me sometimes. The pro 164 isn't worth the current $199.99 price tag now, So they're going to drop it to what its really worth. The 106/197 are Worth every penny of the $299.99 they list at now, yet the drop to $274 ish just seems like a waste of time. Drop it a hundred bucks and they better have a large stock as they'd sell out quickly.

However, I have heard of new scanner products coming available for the Christmas rush or the 1st. of 2011. and I believe the GRE PSR-310/410's are supposed to arrive for Christmas as well.

I have looked on a bunch of different coupon and promo code websites with no luck. There is a "$10 off a qualifying purchase of $40 or more."

Also right now Radio Shack's website shows they are offering Free Ground Shipping on qualifying purchases. This appears to include the Pro-197 and Pro-106

The $299 price on Thanksgiving and Black Friday is $100 off their current list of $399

Hi Ya'll. What is the trick to printing the coupons from radio shack. They sent me an email with a 10 dollars coupon. Everything prints EXCEPT the number that is below the bar code. You need that number for it to be valid. I went and looked at a Pro 197 yesterday at the Shack. I do not have a printer so I forward it to my best half and she prints it. I took the survey and there was a coupon at the end. Same #&*. What's the secret???

Is it possibly cut off because it is scaled too big for the page? Sometimes a different scaling can be selected in the setup dialog box prior to printing. "Scale to fit page" or similar could help.

Found the secret. Have the wife take the survey and print it right then. Once you move off the page, it takes the number off the coupon even if you save it. The 25 dollar ones??? Anyone seen any yet. The guy at the Shack said if purchase a certain amount you will get a 25 dollars gift card. It that what everyone is speaking of????

I received an e-mail from ScanerMaster today annoucing their Black Friday sale and posted about it in the GRE section. It is the third post of this thread.

Basically, it is $35 off the PER-500/600. Other scanners not listed specifically in the e-mail are $10 off.

I just came from my local RS and was told that the 106 will be on sale for $299.00 on Black Friday, with no coupons! This is at the RS at Hamilton Pl in Chattanooga. They only have about 4 or 5 on hand.

15 dollar coupon.

They have sent me two 10 dollar ones and a 15 dollar one. NO sign of the 25 dollar one everyone is looking for. Oh well, 15 bucks is better than a sharp stick in the eye. I will use it on friday for my Pro 197. Pays the sales tax.

Have you ever HAD a really, really good sharp stick in the eye? Worth much more than $15, IMHO. Problem is, most people don't know how to do it properly. You really have to go to a professional for this.
