I believe the $25 off deal that some have mentioned is actually a gift card towards a "future purchase", not an instant off coupon. I received a mailing from RS that states exactly that. Specifics below:

"Make a qualifyng in-store purchase of $50 or more and get a $25 gift card to use toward your next purchase". The offer is good through 12/31/10. It also clearly states that "Gift Card may not be used on same purchase", indicating it is to be used on a future purchase. It also states that photocopies will not be accepted. I do have the $15 dollar instant off coupon and will be using that to bring the $299 down to $284 on Friday.

I think I am going to pick a 197 up as well. My 2096 has served me well since 2004, but $115.00 off with the coupon is hard to pass up! My local radio shack said they had four on hand, and scanners don't move very fast there. I printed off the $15.00 off coupon, now I just have to wait for Friday.

Anyone ever have any luck locating anything more then $10 off Coupon Code that can be shared?

I am probably going to buy a Pro-197 online this evening. Most I can find is $10 off. Still showing Free Ground Shipping as well.

All the discounts ($10 coupon + Free Ground Shipping credit $6.05) knocks the sales tax down to only about $9.40. Still a grand total of $315.44. Good savings for a Digital Scanner

For others, I think you can google Radio Shack coupons or promo codes. I went to www.couponcabin.com and typed in Radio Shack. Gives you a list of current deals. The $10 off seems to be the best right now on line.

I think there is a $15 in store coupon here: Radio Shack® Coupons & Coupon Codes - Save $20 or More! | KlipMart . If you open the link, print it. I opened it yesterday, and now it is saying that I have already copied it and it is not working for me.

Got my 197!!!! Slight problem with the 15 dollar off coupon. Said it had already been used on the 19th of Nov. I did not get it in the email till 22 Nov. Something is not right. Anyone else having this problem????

Same here. It's still a STEAL at 299. Hopefully the email I sent to RS about the coupon will garner a 15 dollar gift card along with the 25 dollar one they normally send out if you purchase over a certain amount.
