That's a cool link. I had most of the catalogs from 1982-2002 at one time or another. I think I may have one or two around here somewhere still but I tossed most of them many years ago. It sure brings back memories looking through those.

Thanks For the Link!

Another childhood memory rekindled. I'd forgotton about most of those catalogs.

What a great web site!!! Thanks so much for posting this. I just found my first "police radio" on page 81 of the 1972 catalog (Patrolman 6). I saved up my paper route money and bought it at RS when I was 14 years old. Ah, to be young again......

wow talk about flashbacks. i saw alot of things i had bought there. kind of funny when they would tell you 10k or 160k or 10mb of hard drive space and the old quote "you'll never fill it" lol those were the days. saw the 3 ch walkie talkie i had as well as a couple of my old scanners and computers.
thanks for brining back the days> :)

Yeah, I found my first radio when I was 11 years old. It was a Patrolman-9 in the 1975 catalog. It opened my world up to HF/VHF/UHF over 30 years ago! I remember going into the local Radio Shack and listening to it, until I got it for Christmas.

Brings back good memories for me as well!

Glad you guys enjoyed the link!

Wow.
I remember some of those from the late 60's and early 70's,

Those were the REAL "Dream Books"!:)

The Sears catalog was just for looking at ladies underwear!

Thank's Frankj !

THANK'S FRANKJ for the head's up.i'm a 50 year old radio buff.i have fond memories of waiting for the new r.s. catalog to come out every year. i remember in particular waiting for the pro-92 to come out.i have to say that the wait was more fun than the scanner.

Awesome link. My first memory of listening to a scanner was a Pro-14 or a Pro-16A. I'm leaning toward the 16A. Man, Those catalogs really bring back some memories.

The attached file lists all the Radio Shack scanners and can serve as an index to the Radio Shack catalog website. Post back here if you find errors or anything I left out.
