Story is I ordered a new Pro 106 on Thur 10/30. They said it would be shipped to store. No problem. I received the FF discount. No problem. Saw Sun, 11/2 sale price and went back to get credit. Employee told me he couldn't do it. I said cancel my order he said he couldn't do it. Said order me another one, said he couldn't do it. I told him the FF discount ended that day. He said see the manager and he would take care of it. Kind of a problem (that gut feeling of oh oh). Today, 11/5 pick up my radio and the manager says nothing he could do, I should have taken care of it Sunday. Now a major problem. Told him HIS employee failed. I said just credit my account the difference. Said nothing he could do!! Catch 22 ??

Question is does anyone know of a Radio Shack compaint line. I would give RS a chance to correct a wrong before I contact Better Business Bureau, Attorny Generals Office and anyone else I can lodge a complaint with.

Thanks all. I would not have the radio without all your help.

What wrong did they commit? You ordered the radio at that price. If you're not happy with the service you received, you have the ultimate power over the retailer, don't shop there again. Why didn't you just order another radio at the lower price and return the first one when it came in?

He has a legit gripe. He tried to resolve the issue on Sunday. I had the same thing happen but my local RS manager knew how to handle it. He said they would have to wait until I received the Direct-2-U shipment so that the system did not create duplicate orders. I received the order yesterday and went to see him. He took care of it without a hitch!

To give the store "props", it was the store in Arlington, TX on Cooper @ Pioneer Pkwy. The saleslady was Patricia and the manager was Rick - great service!

As far as a complaint line, see this link:

So you paid $350 for a $499 scanner during the FF discount?
You got a good deal already.

I would have done what the other user said, ordered one returned the other.

Or sell it on ebay after the sale, which im sure a lot of people will be doing.

Call the 1-800-The-Shack number and it will connect you to the nearest Distict Office. Tell the District Admin the problem and mention the words "30 day price guarantee...." They should instruct you to go back to the store and get a credit on your account for $70+tax difference. If they don't, ask for the number of the Regional Office. You can almost bet they will if the DO doesn't make it right.

Thanks to all for their quick responses. I did email Radio Shack at the complaint section as listed. Too my suprise about two hours later, the manager of the store called and said his employee should have called him on Sunday. (Ha, ha, ha...) The district manager had Ok'd a a rebate and all I had to do was come back in. Funny that is all I wanted before. Have to say RS did the stand up thing. I thank them.

I'm glad they finally did the proper thing.

But they never should have jkerked you around to begin with !

You did everything correctly.... even went back in while all coupons and sale prices were in full effect.

They should not have had anything to argue about.

Although you got the price correction, I would think being jerked around would still leave a bad taste in your mouth. Why not just do it correctly from the get-go ?

i think radio shack tries too mainly hire nice dressing retards not actual people in electronics. not saying all are bad.i went to buy a simple s video cable for my dvd player to my tv, and he said i be better off buying a new dvd player. i said really, so if i spend an extra 80.00 dollars my new dvd player will run on air meening needing no cables. also the guy that said thier is no way for him to sell me a home 9volt adapter for my pro-96 without bringing my scanner in.

Feel your pain, but, what can we expect from these people? They've never been able to answer a question I've had. And these are their products!! Minimum wage, minimum effort, no skills. The dillemma for someone like you "Nomex" is how to deal with people who are so bad at such an easy job. If a fireman does an imperfect job, that fact, if the conscquences are not disastrous, will be discussed by many.
I think it would be easier to be a pro athlete. Do my job right 30% of the time and be a household hero......
