I call the number and was able to check on status of an upgrade of a pro 96 scanner. turn-around time was 9 working days.

I sent the 96 in to be checked out and then had them do the upgrade. I have extended warranty.

What upgrade?? There is currently no "upgrade" worth doing unless you're going from 1.2 to 1.3....if you paid to have them do 1.3 to 1.4 you might want to see if they can stop the work order prior to starting work because it simply won't do anything for your scanner

Very bad. There was no public release of CPU or DSP 1.0!

Check your version by pressing the 3 key on power-up. That's the only way to do it. DSP Boot is not the CPU or DSP version.
