Hello, I just bought the Pro-107 and am very much a newbie, my last scanner was 30+ years ago and WOW what an upgrade in technology, lol.
This baby had my name written all over it, no freq chips, entering in freq, all I did was install the software (free by the way) just select what you want to annoy your wife with then transfer all your info to the 2gb SD card (also free) power up the scanner wait a few seconds then press the SEL button and enjoy many hours of annoying your loved ones, just keep in mind if you live in a comminity property state this may have more of an effect on you.
In closing, well worth the money $179.00+ till 01-02-10, very easy to use.
P.S. Did you know Radio Shack sold batteries?
